Quick Start

1. Enter a symbol using Yahoo Finance nomenclature.

2. Choose a chart timeframe and display style.

3. Review Trend, Swing, and Power readings for directional context.

4. Use the Data Panel to review retracement levels, Square of 9 support/resistance levels, and CIT dates.

5. Adjust Trend, Swing, or SAR Angle settings to match the instrument and timeframe.

6. Use scans to identify ideas, then confirm them with your own analysis and risk controls.

When calculating future CIT dates, select A, B, C, or D in Settings to use values from the Cardinal or Diagonal Cross. Trading-day calculations appear with the Swing indicator; calendar-day values appear in the Data Panel.

App Overview

Gann 9 is organized into four main areas: ·

Chart Panel: Price, trend, angle, tunnel, and swing analysis.

Data Panel: Key values, retracements, Square of 9 calculations, and CIT dates.

AI Analyzer: summarizes and interprets the indicators on the chart and provides actionable option information.

A. Chart Panel

1. Price Chart

Display price in line-dot, bar, or Trend Bars™ format.
2. Trend and Angle Tools

· Trend Angles: Drawn from the closes associated with the highest high and lowest low. The default is a 1 × 1 angle; use Settings to change the ratio.

· Swing Angles: Automatically adapt the 1 × 1 step to price scale. Adjust the slope in Settings to create harmonic angles.

· SAR Angles: Reverse direction when price crosses the active Swing Angle. Lower slope settings can produce a blend of support/resistance levels and angles.
3. Tunnel Indicator

The grey Tunnel is a proprietary trend-visualization tool inspired by Gann’s TTTA. It is designed to capture most price fluctuations and project the trend into the next week in daily mode or the next month in weekly mode.
4. Swing Indicator

The Swing indicator identifies algorithmic swing direction and duration. The T value shows how long the current swing has continued; it turns yellow after 6 periods and red after 9. The dotted line represents the higher-time-frame Swing signal. The indicator’s absolute level does not correspond to price.
5. Symbols and Exchanges

The app can chart symbols with more than 150 days of data available through Yahoo Finance. Use Yahoo Finance symbol conventions—for example, EURUSD=X for a forex pair or an exchange suffix such as .AX or .HK for international listings. View mutual funds in weekly timeframes because open, high, and low data may be unavailable.

B. Data Panel

1. Trend: Green for Up, red for Down, and yellow for Sideways, based on the Tunnel.

2. Swing: Green for Up and red for Down.

3. Price and Date: Shows the highest high, lowest low, and their dates for Square of 9 calculations.

4. User Inputs: Enter custom prices and dates. Defaults use the 50% price retracement and the midpoint between the high and low dates.

5. Range Retracement: Divides the high-low range into eighths. These values often act as support or resistance; the 50% level is especially important in Gann analysis.

6. Extension/Retracement: Applies the selected percentages above or below the high, low, or a user-entered value.

7. Square of 9 Calculator: Projects potential support/resistance levels and CIT dates from high, low, or user-defined inputs.

8. Square of 9: Opens the extended standalone calculator.

9. CIT Dates: Lists dates that may warrant closer attention for a potential change in trend.

C. Scans and Watch Lists

Scans help generate trading ideas from your Watch Lists:

· Buy/Sell signals: Trigger on the first bar when the chart signal changes color.

· Swing Time: Measures how long the Swing indicator has moved in its current direction.

· Dual-time-frame scans: Highlight setups in which daily and weekly indicators align.

· BSH scans: Classify each bar as Buy (1), Sell (-1), or Hold (0)

D. Square of 9

The Square of 9 organizes numbers in a spiral. The Cardinal and Diagonal Crosses highlight values Gann considered significant for potential support, resistance, and CIT dates.

It also functions as a square-root calculator. To project a full 360° move from a number, take its square root, add or subtract 2, and square the result. For a 180° move, add or subtract 1 before squaring.

Example: √34 ≈ 5.83; 5.83 + 2 = 7.83; 7.83 × 7.83 ≈ 61.

You can enter a significant high or low in the User field and review Cardinal or Diagonal values for potential levels or dates. Use a negative step to calculate support below a major high. For very small values, convert them to three digits—for example, 1.25 becomes 125.

E. Trading Strategies

1. Follow the trend: Use the Tunnel to identify direction, especially when price approaches a Gann support/resistance level.

2.Swing trading: Use the Swing indicator to monitor changes in swing direction and duration.

3.Confirm signals: Combine Tunnel, Swing, retracement levels, Square of 9 projections, and embedded-AI insights as confirmation rather than relying on one tool.

4. Align timeframes: Give added attention to setups in which daily and weekly signals point in the same direction.

The Signal line turns green when both the Tunnel and Swing point up and red when both point down.
F. DJIA Historical Data

The DJIA tool provides daily data back to June 1886 for historical comparison and seasonal analysis. Select a target year, enter up to 20 comparison years, and review the calculated correlations and average path.

The historical table shows correlations between the target year and other years at a glance. Values above 50% appear with a green background. Use these results to build election-year, decennial, or other seasonal forecasts.
